Incorporated in 1995, Aventura might be one of Miami's youngest municipalities but packs a punch in terms of affluence and desirability. Originally developed in the 1970s, Aventura has grown rapidly since its incorporation. It is known for its upscale shopping centers, luxury condominiums, and high-rise residential buildings. Demographically, over 75% of Aventura's population is foreign-born, predominantly from Latin America and Europe. Many residents are affluent retirees as well as young professionals working in Miami's finance and real estate sectors.
